The Mornington Peninsula is framed by spectacular coastline on either side, and is home to numerous boutique wineries, breweries and spirit distillers, incredible beaches and fantastic dining experiences. The region also offers keen golfers’ fantastic courses with incredible views.

Breathing in the fresh air around you, the Mornington Peninsula is a wonderful place to visit. Along with many boutique producers, there are also extensive art galleries, spas and cafes to be visited.

With the region located in such close proximity to Melbourne, it is the perfect day trip allowing travellers to get out of the city and relax surrounded by beautiful coastline and contrasting landscapes.

Typically, in summer (December to February), the temperatures range between 14 – 25.3°C (57.2 – 77.5°F), however temperatures do often reach past 30°C (86°F). Winter is often much colder with snow falls often seen in the north east. The winter (June to August) temperatures usually range between 6.5 – 14.2°C (43.7 – 57.6°F).

Autumn (March to May) and Spring (September to November) are often mild seasons in comparison, with temperatures ranging between 90.6 – 20.3°C (49.3 – 68.5°F). These are often great times to visit.

The pies and cronuts at Johnny Ripe are worth the hour's trek from Melbourne all on their own but while you're down here, you might as well try a few of the pinot's at Ocean Eight - it's one of the smallest of the dozens of cellar doors on the Peninsula, and probably the prettiest. The walk at Cape Schanck Lighthouse is one of the best short walks you'll find anywhere so be sure to leave some time for a wander here."
